Tactical Fly Fishing: Published by The Crowood Press.
Deals with the historical influences and modern developments, guiding the reader towards the state of the art in both river and lake fly fishing, with single-handed fly rod.

I also have a few remaining copies of Fly Fisher (published by Jonathan Cape). This book, now out of print, covers lake fishing for rainbow and brown trout, and also sea-trout in Scottish lochs. It was written during, and features, the final years of the great Loch Maree sea-trout fishery, before this natural wonder was destroyed by salmon farming.

Note: I will sign the book you choose. Postage is second-class British mainland. Elsewhere will incur the international postage cost applicable.
Fishing on the Frontier: This is my regular feature in Fish & Fly which covers contemporary development of fly fishing as practiced essentially in Europe, right up to the state-of-the-art presentation techniques for trout and grayling, which represent the frontier of the sport. Access to the entire series, now numbering almost 50, is free through the Fish & Fly website.
Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Magazine: This outstanding publication is in my view the best fly fishing magazine of them all, with great coverage, including topical techniques and fly development as well as the conservation aspects of our sport and the freshwater environment. I recommend all fly anglers (and politicians) read this monthly publication to keep abreast with what is happening in the fly fishing world and our freshwater habitats.
Fin & Fly: The online magazine of Hardy & Greys, with excellent features by Hardy-endorsed guides on both fresh water and salt water fly fishing, all over the world. Here is also access to details about the world renowned Hardy & Greys products.
The Countryman’s Weekly: The top newspaper/magazine covering news, articles, reviews and features on all aspects of countryside matters and field sports. I write a monthly fly fishing feature.
The Fly Fishing Point: From the Czech Republic this is a must-visit fly fishing site (in the English language) which features both international articles and a superb online shop geared towards contemporary fly fishing and fly tying.
The Tenkara Times: Online magazine and shop; a superb regular read for those interested in the rapid popularisation of tenkara (fixed line) fly fishing.
